Morning Whole Group Meeting
 
Songs, morning message, daily responsibilities, and energizing activities begin the day!

Small Group Experiences & Friday Explorations
Teachers work with a few students to develop literacy, handwriting, geography/culture, and science skills; students work in Centers.

Co-Curricular Classes
Lessons in art, music, science, and library are taught by subject specialists.

Students come together for songs, calendar work, and pledge.

Circle Time
Greeting, morning meeting, and highlights of the day!

Co-Curricular Class
Lessons in science, music, library, art, and technology.

Physical Education (daily)

Small Group Learning Rotations
Students engage in small group instruction with their teachers and peers for lessons in math, writing, reading, phonics, and social studies.

Recess and Snack

Lunch

Read, Relax, and Rejuvenate
A period of downtime for students to rest and refocus for the remainder of the day. Options while resting might include listening to a read-aloud or soft music, looking at a book, or snuggling with a soft toy.

Purposeful Movement
A focused brain break through movement that fosters learning and develops gross motor skills. Activities might include nature walks, tae kwon do, or yoga movement.

Inquiry and Exploration
The “essential question” will serve as a catalyst for learning. This time will be marked by collaborative learning, integration of other disciplines, hands-on learning, and indoor and outdoor experiences.
