Cannon Theater Company - Edinburgh Festival Fringe: July 2017

The Edinburgh Festival Fringe is a unique and exciting event. Every year for three weeks, Scotland’s majestic capital is transformed into a magical, unpredictable, and thrilling world. The city bursts at the seams as Edinburgh, Scotland becomes the largest stage in the world. Every theatre, museum, hotel, sports centre and pub plays host to its own array of international performers.

Cannon Theater Company recently received the rare honor of being selected to apply (and was then accepted) to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the largest performing arts event in the world, in July-August 2017. Thirteen CTC students performed “The Sneeze: Comedic Plays and Stories by Anton Chekhov” to enthusiastic, packed houses, and had the opportunity to experience a wide variety of theater productions. The highly reputable American High School Theater Festival hosted the trip.

In order to protect their home, community members of Palo Seco must continue to reforest mangrove trees to keep their coastline stable. This tour offers students a firsthand learning experience into stabilizing ecosystems through the efforts of community farming. They'll also discover the biodiversity of this beautiful country from every angle with visits to hot springs, hiking to La Fortuna Waterfall and more.

This trip is open to any Cannon Student or Cannon family member.
