Middle School – Math Teacher
Cannon School seeks a middle school mathematics teacher (grades 5-8) who will teach four sections of mathematics for the 2018-2019 school year.  The teacher will develop interdisciplinary projects with members of the grade-level faculty, serve on the grade-level curricular team, and, subsequently, as an advisor.  The ideal candidate will actively participate in the life of the school outside of the classroom and perform other non-teaching duties as assigned.  Experience with standards-based grading and with geometry instruction is preferred but not required. Possibilities for department leadership may be considered.
Candidates must possess demonstrated competence and experience in the content area and pedagogy for middle school.  A Master’s degree in mathematics or a related field, and a minimum of five years of successful teaching experience are preferred.  Qualified candidates should be able to teach all levels of middle school mathematics, including algebra one and geometry.  Candidates should demonstrate flexibility, energy, enthusiasm, high expectations of themselves and their students, and an understanding of the developmental needs of middle school students.  Ability and interest in coaching at any level is a plus but not required.
Lower School – Fourth Grade Teacher
 We are currently seeking candidates for the 2018-2019 school year. The fourth grade teacher will instruct students in reading and reading strategies, writing, vocabulary, grammar, spelling, math and social studies, while creating a positive, engaging, and nurturing environment for learning. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching in the elementary classroom, a natural aptitude for cultivating relationships with students and families, knowledge of differentiated instruction, adept at small group instruction, and will also be flexible, collaborative, a team player, knowledgeable of child development, a lifelong learner, and possess a true love and passion for young children and their educational success. Education/Experience Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related educational field. At least 2 years of experience in an elementary classroom.

Cannon School – Director of Facilities Management
 Cannon School is currently searching for a Director of Facilities Management. The Director of Facilities Management reports directly to the Director of Business & Finance and provides oversight for the operation of Cannon School’s five academic buildings, performing arts center, two gymnasiums and six athletic fields.  Cannon School is located on 65 acres with 250,000 square feet of conditioned space.  The Director of Facilities Management is responsible for all campus maintenance including; utility systems, HVAC, Landscaping and Grounds, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire. In addition to facilities management the Director is responsible for managing campus security procedures and the maintenance Cannon’s bus fleet.  The Director will ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulatory agency-required guidelines and act as a liaison, communicator and facilitator between internal key stakeholders and outside service providers.   
In addition to day to day campus management, the Director of Facilities Management will also lead a team of 6 people and will be responsible for developing individual employees and supporting a culture of engaged employees. 
The successful candidate will be an experienced leader with a demonstrated record of expertise in various aspects of facilities operations including Project, Construction and Fleet Management and day to day facility maintenance with the ability to build and develop effective teams and work with others to accomplish outcomes.
