Upper School Associate Dean of Students
We are currently seeking candidates to fill the position of Associate Dean of Students for the 2019-20 school year.  The ideal candidate has leadership, teaching,  and advisory experience in an upper school independent school environment.   We are looking for an individual who excels in being relational, demonstrates responsibility, initiative, creativity, self-reliance, a high level of productivity, and who is comfortable as an adaptive problem solver.   This position is part of a team of four, with each teammate managing the culture and forming bonds with a specific class of students (Class of 2024), leading them for all four years. The individual should be interested in creating experiences, chaperoning class trips, supervising extra and co-curricular activities, resolving discipline situations, building relationships with their students’ families, and leading a team of eight advisors.  This person must be hard working, detail-oriented, level-headed in stressful situations,  and comfortable with technology.  In addition, the Associate Dean of Students serves as a teaching faculty member (1-2 classes) and is a part of the larger Upper School Administrative Team.  A bachelor’s degree is required for this 11-month position. 
 
Facilities Maintenance Mechanic
Cannon School is searching for a Maintenance Mechanic to join our Department of Facilities. This position independently performs semiskilled preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance tasks associated with the upkeep and operation of the school. Qualified candidates must have prior experience servicing HVAC systems, maintaining tools, supplies and equipment and the ability to follow all safety requirements as it relates to working on HVAC systems. In addition, this position is responsible for various types of maintenance and facilities functions, building and building equipment.   This position reports directly to the Director of Operations.
 
Head Coach Middle School Co-ed Golf
Cannon School is searching for a head coach for its’ middle school co-ed golf program.  Co-ed middle school golf is a spring sport and begins on Monday February 11.  The golf team typically practices at Rocky River Golf Club twice per week from 2:50 – 4:15. The other days, the team works out in the weight room from 2:30 until 3:00 and is dismissed at 3:00.  Coaches are required to attend only practices at the golf course.   The successful candidate is expected to have coaching or playing experience at the high school level or beyond.  For more information on the school and Cannon Athletics, visit the Cannon School website at www.cannonschool.org.  Applications should include a resume detailing educational, professional, coaching, and athletic experience.  Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.  This is a seasonal stipend position.  Inquiries can be made to the Director of Athletics, Patrick Moyer at pmoyer@cannonschool.org

After School Program – Associate
Cannon School is seeking a candidate for our After-School Care program. The After-School Program Associate works closely with the Director to help facilitate instruction and other classroom activities between the hours of 3-6 PM Monday-Friday. This position helps to foster a warm, positive, and nurturing classroom environment for the optimal learning of each student. This candidate will also possess the qualities inherent in our core values of courage, teamwork, respect, integrity, passion, and kindness. In addition, excellent organizational, communication, as well as problem-solving skills are essential. This position is part-time. Education/Experience Requirements: An Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Development or a or a related educational field.
