Preparing for Cannon School's 50th Anniversary

In the fall of 2019, Cannon School will reach a magnificent milestone—our 50th anniversary as a school.

In anticipation of an incredible year of celebration in the 2019-2020 school year, the Cannon community will begin preparing for our 50th in this school year. We look forward to updating this page with plans for the festivities as they continue to evolve.

But for now— we want to hear from you! Keep reading to learn how you can share your favorite memories with the Cannon community.

Share a Special Memory

Reaching 50 years is really about you—our students, parents, alumni, teachers, coaches, families, and friends who have boldly learned, laughed, and looked forward together.

Do you have a special Cannon School or Cabarrus Academy memory to share? Or do you want to tell us how Cannon has shaped who you are today?

Looking Back

Cannon School, established in 1969 as Cabarrus Academy and renamed in 1998, originally occupied the historic Concord residence of textile entrepreneur J.W. Cannon. In the nearly-five decades since, Cannon School has transformed itself from a small school in downtown Concord to one of the Charlotte region's top independent college-preparatory schools.
