Meet a Cannon Lifer: Jenna, Class of 2020
The experience our Lifers have at Cannon is truly special - they spend fourteen years (from JrK - grade 12) in our hallowed hallways! We’re spotlighting several, and today it's Jenna's turn.
Do you have a memory from JrK that you hold dear? I remember my first day of school. Walking onto a campus with Jrk all the way to 12th grade students... It was a big deal. I remember feeling so excited and overwhelmed.
Is there a Cannon School event or tradition that you look back on fondly? Why? I loved the Arts Jam that we held every year. I remember getting my face painted, getting henna tattoos, making wax hands, and just having a blast with my friends. It was so much fun.
How would you describe your Cannon School experience in three words? An Inspiring community.
What is the most important lesson you learned during your time at Cannon? Community. While traveling nearly every weekend for dance, I was responsible for the material I missed. My teachers always supported me and held me to a high standard. I learned so much about the importance of having a strong community behind you that genuinely wants you to grow and succeed.
What are your plans post-graduation? I will be attending High Point University where I plan to major in Entrepreneurship and Fashion Merchandising. I will continue to travel for dance on the weekends with multiple dance convention circuits and choreograph!
