Meet a Cannon Lifer: Gabby, Class of 2020
The experience our Lifers have at Cannon is truly special - they spend fourteen years (from JrK - grade 12) in our hallowed hallways! We’re spotlighting several, and today it's Gabby's turn.
Do you have a memory from JrK that you hold dear? One of my favorite memories was trying to find the runaway gingerbread man. I remember following the trail of flour throughout the lower and middle school and finally finding him in the lower school library.
Is there a Cannon School event or tradition that you look back on fondly? One tradition that I look back on fondly would have to be the Living Museum. I was Shirley Temple and I remember walking into school that morning with a big bag of lollipops wearing this white and red polka dot dress and I thought I was the coolest kid ever that morning.
How would you describe your Cannon School experience in three words? Challenging, rewarding, and unforgettable.
What is the most important lesson you learned during your time at Cannon? One of the most important lessons that I have learned is that with hard work and dedication, anything is possible. Cannon has taught me that nothing is out of reach if you put your mind to it and to always follow your dreams, no matter where they might lead you.
What are your plans post-graduation? I will be attending the University of Louisville where I will be playing softball and am currently planning to major in finance and pursue a minor in international business.
