As we prepare for the start of the 2025–26 school year on Thursday, August 14, we want to provide families and students with an early look at what to expect regarding campus access, construction progress, and parking during the expansion of Cannon’s Upper School—an exciting part of A Flourishing Future campaign.
We’re thrilled to share that construction on the Upper School expansion is officially underway following a groundbreaking ceremony in June. Since then, crews have made steady progress, including:
- Completion of utility work for the Gossage building expansion
- Electrical connections installed and roughed in
- Current work includes grading the construction area
- Footing excavation expected to begin soon
These construction developments mark an exciting new chapter in our growth, and we’re grateful for your continued support.
Student parking remains unchanged at this time. Student-athletes returning early for practices will see construction underway but can follow normal parking routines. Throughout the school year, there may be occasional traffic pattern changes to accommodate construction. These changes will be communicated in advance to students, families, and faculty/staff.
We sincerely appreciate your patience and flexibility as we work to improve our campus for current and future generations of Cannon students.
