 A Flourishing Future: October Update

Still shot of drone footage of the construction work underway as part of AFF

As promised, we’re excited to share the latest update on A Flourishing Future—September has been a month of visible momentum!

Construction is now in the structural steel phase, and the framework of the Gossage building expansion is rising quickly. One particularly meaningful milestone: the steel beam signed by Upper School students last month is now in place, a lasting mark of student connection and community.

If you’ve walked by the site lately, especially with a Lower School student in tow, you’ve probably watched cranes, bulldozers, and steelworkers in action. This phase will continue for another week or so before we shift to preparing the ground and second floors for concrete slab installation, which will extend into mid to late October.

But this project is about more than just concrete and steel.

It’s about creating spaces that inspire, connect, and empower, something donors like Sumeet and Rupi Ramchandani deeply believe in.

“When we became a Cannon family in 2020, we weren’t just enrolling our daughter in a school—we were choosing a community we believed would shape her future... Cannon is building something bigger than academics—it’s building character, leadership, and vision in the next generation.”

The Ramchandanis’ generous gift to the Upper School courtyard reflects their belief in creating environments where students can recharge, connect, and share ideas. As Sumeet shared: “Who knows? The next innovation may start as a simple conversation on that bench. Our role is to create the space—for kids to feel safe, inspired, and empowered to dream big.”

Their vision, and the vision of so many families supporting A Flourishing Future, is becoming reality before our eyes.

Thank you for being part of this journey and stay tuned for November’s update!
