Welcome from the Head of School
That greeting speaks to the warmth you will feel when you visit our school, learn beside our teachers, or engage this community of learners. As Cannon’s Head of School, I felt this vibrant spirit upon first stepping on campus. It emanates from a place where people are deeply engaged in delivering our mission, living our values, and realizing our vision every day.
Cannon School nurtures relationships at the heart of learning and engages the learner in a journey of growth. We believe that our human connections are the foundation of a deep and broad education. That education requires courageous engagement with one another and in our local communities beyond our campus. Creating this sense of belonging and empowerment supports all of our journeys of growth—journeys in which students and adults embark alike.
By serving this purpose every day, we seek a world where our learners make an impact in wholehearted and adaptive ways. We acknowledge the adaptive and ever-changing nature of our society. In so doing, we must embrace the reality that challenges of today and tomorrow require problem solvers developed to think and feel beyond the circumstances at hand. We are obligated not only to prepare college students, scientists, authors, and athletes. Cannon School prepares deep learners for impactful contributions at each step in their journey.
We are glad to call you a friend and humbled by your interest in Cannon School!
