Part- time After School Care Associate
Beginning August 2019, Cannon School is searching for Associates for our After-School Care Program. The After School Program Associate works closely with the Director to help facilitate instruction and other classroom activities between the hours of 3-6 PM Monday-Friday. This position helps to foster a warm, positive, and nurturing classroom environment for the optimal learning of each student. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for children, a collaborative spirit and creativity, knowledge of child development and best practice, the ability to develop age-appropriate activities, as well as the ability to effectively manage a team of after school teachers. This candidate will also possess the qualities inherent in our core values of courage, teamwork, respect, integrity, passion, and kindness. In addition, excellent organizational, communication, as well as problem-solving skills are essential. This position is part-time.

Part-time Middle School Chorus Teacher
Cannon School seeks a music teacher for two sections of middle school chorus and one section of 6th grade general music. The teacher will work closely with other music faculty in order to build a cohesive and dynamic music program. Candidates must possess demonstrated competence and experience in the content area and pedagogy for Middle School. A Bachelor’s Degree in Music is required and a Master’s degree in Music or a related field is preferred. A minimum of three years of successful teaching experience is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate flexibility, energy, enthusiasm, high expectations of themselves and their students, and an understanding of the developmental needs of students.
 
Assistant Coach – Boys and Girls MS Cross Country
 
Cannon School is searching for an assistant coach for its MS Boys and Girls Cross Country program. The successful candidate is expected to have a distance running background, previous coaching experience is a plus.  Cannon School competes in the CISAA conference, which is part of the NCISAA at the 4A level.  The position is scheduled to start on August 1, 2019.  Inquiries can be made to the Interim Director of Athletics for Strategy and General Oversight, Russ Campbell at rcampbell@cannonschool.org.
 
Assistant Coach –Girls Varsity Tennis
 
Cannon School is searching for an assistant coach for its Varsity Girls Tennis program. The successful candidate is expected to have experience playing tennis at a high level, previous coaching experience is a plus.  Candidate must be able to work well with others including the head coach, players, parents, staff and officials. Cannon School competes in the CISAA conference, which is part of the NCISAA at the 4A level.  The position is scheduled to start on August 1, 2019.  Inquiries can be made to the Interim Director of Athletics for Strategy and General Oversight, Russ Campbell at rcampbell@cannonschool.org.
 
Bus Driver
 
We are currently seeking candidates for our Transportation Department. The position hours are on an as needed basis and will provide back up coverage for regular routes and drive for sport and field trips. The ideal candidate will have a: valid CDL license with a P&S endorsement, prior driving experience, will be flexible, a team player and enjoy working with children. This candidate will also possess the qualities inherent in our core values of courage, teamwork, respect, integrity, passion and kindness.
