More than 200 guests crowded the ballroom at River Run Country Club Friday night, Feb. 28, for "An Evening with the Beatles," listening to music in a variety of styles and bidding in an auction to raise money for the MuscialMinds youth music instruction program.

Rachel Dyl's favorite Beatles song is "Eleanor Rigby." "I love the cello and violin in that," the Cannon School senior says.
Her appreciation for classical music is one of the reasons she created "An Evening With the Beatles," a celebration by local and international artists on Feb. 28 at River Run Country Club.

They came for Cannon's "Nelson Mandela Day" and used the framework of the anti-apartheid leader's life to help the students understand their own purpose and contribution to society.
