Coaching Positions:

JV Girls Soccer Head Coach
Cannon School is searching for a head coach for its JV girls soccer team. The head coach of the JV team manages the JV team and its practices. This position has the support and guidance of the Director of Soccer who also serves as the varsity head coach during the same season. The season will run from the middle of February through the middle of May.

Experience/education: Previous experience playing soccer at the high school level is expected. It is also beneficial (but not required) for the candidate to have displayed effective leadership, communication, and coaching. A strong commitment to the Student-Athlete concept and a working knowledge of high school rules and regulations is also required. This is a seasonal stipend position.

Head Softball Coach
Cannon School is searching for a head softball coach for its varsity softball program. The head coach of the varsity program also sets the vision for the middle school softball program. The season will run from the middle of February through the middle of May. For the purpose of injury prevention and preparation, it is expected that pitchers and catchers begin part-time workouts in January. Cannon competes in the competitive CISAA conference, which is part of the statewide NCISAA organization. Cannon won an NCISAA State Championship in 2011. The successful candidate is responsible for all aspects of the softball program including, but not limited to, communication with parents and athletes, practice planning, game coaching, articulating a vision for the softball program, and the development of the student-athletes.
