Strength and Conditioning Coach
Cannon School is searching for a full-time Strength and Conditioning Coach for its Athletic Department. The primary responsibilities of the position will include strength training, agility training, conditioning, and nutrition of Cannon’s athletes grades 7 – 12. The candidate is expected to develop a curriculum for the athletes that includes in-season programs for seasonal athletes, off-season programs for athletes not participating in a sport, and summer programs for all athletes. The successful candidate is expected to hold at least a B.S. or B.A. degree in exercise science, kinesiology, or a closely related field. Candidates will be expected to maintain an affiliation with the NSCA although certification is not necessary. Cannon will be unveiling a brand new strength facility in June of 2014 with a state-of-the-art weight room and agility capabilities as well as office and conference room space for coaches. Experience as a strength and conditioning coach is preferred but not required. Upper School Math Teacher (Starting Fall 2014)
Our ideal candidate is experienced in Geometry and Algebra II/Trigonometry and has the ability to teach a range of other Upper School math courses. Additional responsibilities outside of the classroom may include being an advisor to approximately twelve students, coaching an after-school sport, sponsoring a club, etc. This is full-time position for the 2014/2015 school year.
A Bachelor’s degree and teaching experience are required. Master’s degree and several years of teaching experience preferred.
Head of Middle School
Cannon School seeks an experienced educator committed to intellectual and ethical development of Middle School students. Successful candidates will have personal skills to work with a strong administrative team in leading an energetic faculty in daily engagement of 290 students in grade 5-8. Head of Middle School works closely with Lower School and Upper School Heads to maintain a healthy culture in JrK-12.
